I am a psychotherapist who is committed to supporting adolescents and adults manage the complex world of behavioral health and addiction. My approach is grounded in harm reduction, mindfulness-based interventions and compassion, which delves into what is driving the problematic symptoms that greatly impact your overall quality of life. Our work is centered around your goals and reconnecting you to what matters most. My practice is also rooted in Polyvagal Theory, which is a neuroscience framework for restoring calm and connection. Through a somatic, Polyvagal informed lens, we can create space to explore what is driving depression, anxiety or addiction and begin to cultivate skillful and psychologically flexible responses.
I am a SHE RECOVERS® Coach, which means that I am trained in and my work aligns with the SHE RECOVERS® Intentions & Guiding Principles.
I received my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and hold a NYS CASAC certification for substance related disorders. I have progressive experience in both hospital and outpatient settings supporting clients with both mental health and substance related disorders. have additional training in mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with trauma informed approaches, including sensorimotor therapy. I practice out of New York City and Manhasset.
